Chia Yogurt Cup with Fruit and Honey Drizzle


One of my favorite snacks of all time comes from my travels to Athens, Greece. Greece is often known for it’s love of yogurt (hence, ‘Greek Yogurt’). If you don’t have an issue with dairy then I would suggest ‘Fage Greek Yogurt’ otherwise I use Almond Yogurt.  I’ll have this as for dessert, snack, or sometimes a sweet breakfast! I add the chia seeds to the yogurt to create a texture to resemble ‘frog eye pudding’. Plus the added fiber slows down the blood sugar spikes that may come from the honey we are drizzling happily over our snack.

Try it with your combination of fruits and toppings… this is my favorite and the way that I first tried it in Greece 8 years ago!


Chia Yogurt with Apples, Strawberries, Almonds, and a Honey Drizzle

1/2 cup of Yogurt (Almond or FAGE Greek or yogurt of your choice)
1 Tbsp. Chia Seeds
1/2 small apple, chopped
2 or 3 Strawberries, thinly sliced (or sliced Grapes)
7 almonds, roughly chopped or sliced
Honey, for drizzling

Stir together Yogurt and Chia seeds. Set aside while you chop and slice the apple, strawberries, and almonds. Top with your toppings and drizzle with honey. Sit back and enjoy.
