Snap, Crackle, Pop! Brown Rice Cereal Breakfast

IMG_7766I miss being a kid and eating Rice Crispies every morning. Do you remember that crackling sound that it would make when you would pour the milk over it? I’m not much of a cereal person now but the other day a friend posted a picture of some brown rice cereal and it sort of made me buy some at Whole Foods last night.

This is a version of Rice Crispies with Brown Rice so you’re getting a whole grain that’s naturally gluten free. In addition, Barbara’s Brown Rice cereal only has 1 gr. of sugar (and it’s not high fructose corn syrup like the Kellogs brand). I top mine with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a spoon full of Hemp Seeds.

shoppingHemp seeds are a phenominal way to add a super food to your cereal. They have 10 grams of protein per serving and lots of vitamins and minerals.

So enjoy your childhood breakfast completely guilt free or swap it out for your kids breakfast and slip in a spoonful of hemp seeds. They won’t even notice. xoxoxo
